Black Mamba

Black Mamba

Scientific name: Dendroaspis polylepsis
Family: poisonnatter
Category: Mambas
Length: up to 4.5 m
Gift: Neurotoxic

Black Mambas are watchful snakes, which can become very aggressive when they feel they have to defend themselves. Because they often live near people, accidents occur in which people are inadvertently frightening or disturbing a snake. Without bite, a bite is 100% lethal and occurs between 15 minutes and 3 hours.
