Golden Lion Tamarin

The Golden Lion Tamarin is native to the Atlantic rainforest of Brazil. Once down to only several hundred animals, the species is being reintroduced to protected forest areas and its numbers are up. However, the species is still listed as Endangered and continues to be threatened by habitat loss.
